What does it mean to rekey a lock?

Rekeying a lock is the process of replacing the tumblers (pins, wafer tumblers) of a lock cylinder with new tumblers of different sizes. A new key will coincide with the new tumblers and the old key will no longer work. In other words, it is not necessary to buy new locks. Re-keying locks are something that should be done if you have moved into a new residence or lost a set of keys. Rekeying locks is usually significantly less expensive than replacing them and just as secure.

Re-key your locks if you have moved into a new location, had an employee leave, had your keys stolen, or had contractors at your facility.

Dutch Country Ace Screen Service can replace your torn screen with aluminum or fiberglass material. We even carry pet screen material if your furry friend has a habit of destroying your screen. If your screen is beyond repair we can build you a new one in most cases.

Our shop guy is available most Mondays and Tuesdays from 7:00 AM until noon. Depending on demand we can typically have your screen returned to you within a week. Longer lead times are typically experienced in the Spring season.
